I had great growth when I started up and was ready to stock my basement system . . things just encrusted and grew like crazy . then once the phos. and nitrates went down things slowed to a crawl . I started using acropower again after about a month without it or maybe more . and already after almost 2 weeks using it again the encrusting has exploded again . I can't be 100% sure that it is what is doing it since I took all my fish from upstairs down here bringing total fish stock to around 23. which Im guessing has some contributing factors as well . but I am betting on the acropower since there were almost no fish in the tanks before when the growth occured . either way I am very happy with what I am seeing right now

i have been dosing acropower for a week now, im hoping to achieve these same results as you. i will say that on one of my monti digi's where i fragged it, i can already see a new tip growing over.

I just did my first dose of this stuff after reading all the positive threads on it. I don't have a huge amount of SPS but growth in my tank has been minimal at best for a loooong time so I'm interested in seeing if this helps.

I have been using it for 2 1/2 weeks and have seen a lot of new growth tips and more encrusting.

I just seen they do sell it by the gallon . maybe one of our LFS will get some :o) I am almost out of it

I was thinking of making my own with a general amino acid powder and an aspartic acid powder. I read that article and aspartic acid seems to be the most important of the amino acids utilized by corals. The question is how concentrated should it be? So I'm going to take some Acro Power and check it's specific gravity. Then I will make up a solution with the amino acid powder and DI water to the same concentration. I don't know the quantities of each amino acid in Acro Power. So I will use 50% aspartic acid and 50% mixed amino acids. Then I will dose as if I'm using Acro Power. What do you think? Worth a try?

I tried and the skimmer went nuts.
Acropower has a formulation to prevent this.
I have not yet spend my time to study the formulation, so if you have a recipe that works please share, thanks

Tried it for a few months and saw no changes.hype up by the maker friend.Vitamine C work better

I've been using Aquavitro Fuel for years. It says it ignites coral growth. It's a carbohydrate, vitamins, fatty amino acid supplement for corals. Noticed better coral growth when stated using it so continued. Put 7ml in twice a week. A 350ml bottle cost $10 and lasts me a half a year.

So ive been dosing acro power for 2 weeks now and i feel like this is a must have product! I think in a tank with ample amounts of nutrients, you may or may not notice a difference but in a ULNS like mine i definatly have. My super man monti has been looking very bland and well ehhhhh, this past week ive noticed my base is more of a true blue and im noticing yellow polyps. Im sure this may be a addition of my lights and parimeters that are helping the corals but i feel in my system acro power is a must have product. All my lps look fluffier so to say. I also have noticed a drop in alk and calcium but i believe this is due to the corals using it up. Im looking foward to seeing more progress in the future.

+1 , that is why I started this thread . I have noticed the same things , plus better growth . That and a side not to nutrients in general . so many people believe that a low nutrient system is the way to go . and thats fine if they are happy let them be . I just think its not the only way to go

Agreed!! Every tank is different. Every product may or may not work on different systems but i believe in a ULNS it is a must! Im completely satisfied with acropower and will continue to use it on every tank i have in the future. Im glad its working great for you also
