acrylic hangers for powerheads

I have two large powerheads that were given to me. I've been thinking of making acrylic hangers for them as the suction cups are old and won't hold. (Of course I've never trusted them anyways). Anyone have any ideas or tips for working with acrylic?

Just use a heat gun (like they use for paint striping) or a solidering torch (hold the flame away and heat gently), once hot it is super flexiable. I like to use a piece of wood as a form to mold it over, seems to help it hold it's shape while it cools. Another trick is to use cold water for cooling.
