Good it looks like it has a sensor. Buy some rigid airtube to keep the airstone at the bottom corner of the tank. And test it every few months by unplugging it to make sure it comes on.

Should I get a wood diffuser instead of the stone?

I was going to hook up my battery pack to my basement tank. (the one that lived). A few questions.. I was going to hook mine up to a bubble wand... as I thought this would increase 02 and circulation. Thinking one with a bubble wand is better then nothing but for a 75 gallon tank am I just wasting cycles? I have a generator.. this is to help out when I don't know power is out to the tank.

The wand might be too much for a small air pump,if you have it try it and let me know. I heard these things are good for 25-30 gallons so you’ll need 2 on a 75
