Anemone Symbiotic Algae

is it possible for a green bta that has turned white to regain symbiotic algae?
it began losing color shortly after it's introduction. it does continue to feed and recently has split.

it does not move from it's location which appears to be higher near a corner end but on an angle away from direct light. the 2nd one has moved further away from the light down the side.
when i first put it in, it wasn't long before it moved under an overhang and stayed there for days.. i believe that's when it began to lighten up.

will this eventually die due to losing the algae?

yes it can, just keep the water quality up, my rose was almost comepletly white then it regained it color over time.

Is that the one from me Tom? I gave my parents one and it did the same thing. They now have two and one is totally white, and has been for a few months. Like yours, it's still healthy and eating - maybe in no hurry to regain its symbionts??
Chris

If the zoantielle (totally wrong spelling I know :p) are gone completely the will not reapear, but with heavy feedings the anemone can survive and grow. If there is any still left they will grow back.

yeah,,it's yours Chris..didn't want to mention to you about its misfortune.
but looks like ya found out..

not sure if i would be able to tell if there is any left..both are pale white.
let me ask,,how often should i feed them..and is krill enough?

No worries Tom. Just continue feeding it as is and watch it. If it deteriorates, maybe try feeding some food soaked in selcon.
