Hey Guys,

Thought you could help me figure something out. For the last 3 days my bubble tip anemone has been shriveled up in the morning, but by the time i get home it is perfectly happy? Is this normal behavior or a sign of things to come?

When you say in the morning that's when there are no lights on? If so sounds like nothing to worry about... My BTA used to do that from time to time...

Yea the lights are off, Was thinking the same thing but it is not like my Sebae where it is kinda small, it is really shriveled up (think dying prune). Has not been a problem but I am going on vacation for 1.5 weeks and leaving in the care of someone else. Just a little concerned.

How long has it been acting like this? How long have you had the BTA been in the tank and how long has the tank been set up? Does everything else in the tank look fine? Has the BTA been moving around a lot? If it hasn't moved and it's been acting like this I would worry about it even less. If the BTA is really pissed of dying it would more than likely be constantly moving to find better conditions if it wasn't happy/dying.

Tank has been set up for 6 months, BTA is about 2 weeks old (but has been fine till recently). It has been acting this way for the last 2-3 days. Cranky in the morning fine in the afternoon, evening, and night (even with lights off). Everything else is doing fine. He found this spot day 1 and has not moved.

Maybe I am worrying over nothing... maybe it is just not a morning anemone.

Normal. My RBTA does that at night. My GBTA does it randomly late in the day and at night.

normal sewer pot behavior
