another copper question

Some one told me they bought a tank that had copper used in it in the past. Someone told them to clean it with vinegar and water solution. Does this work? It is going to be a fowlr tank. Every thing will be new except the equipment.

Copper comes in a lot of salt water medications... it is only advised against using it in a tank with corals. As this tank is going to be fish only, i say there should be no issue.
