Anyone ever Ship a SPS frag with success?

I have a friend who wants a frag. Wondering if I ship two day if it will be ok. Its a orange montipora digitata. Going to Colorado.

Orange Digitata? You can probably just put it in an envelope and mail it. ;)

(just kidding).

See if you can find a small styrofoam case, and pack the frag in a secure tupperware (taped shut) inside the styrofoam case, inside a cardboard box. Fed-ex overnight. Since it'll probably cost you $30, I'd wait until a frag swap, and get your buddy a couple nice things from other members (for an extra $20), then you'll be spending the same shipping on a better variety of corals.

cheap hard sided coolers work great too. playmate etc....
throw in a hand warmer (tape this to the box rather than letting it boune around) and some newspaper

You can also line any box with styro and that will work fine. but do add a heat pack and ship overnight as Scott said

I shipped corals to friends in NV and in FL.
I put some in plastic bags, some in a thermos, and some in cheap temporary wanna-be Tupperware containers.
These I packed into styrofoam with heat packs (hand warmers).
The stuff in the wanna-be-Tupperware didn't make it. The lids popped open and the water leaked out. The Thermos was the best method.
If I was going to do it again, I'd save some clean small glass jars and screw the lids on tightly.
