Trying to plumb my uv and I’m stuck. Need to get certain fittings but afraid to get the wrong size. Confused to say the least lol. Would like my lines to be as small as possible because I’m running low flow and hoping to eliminate any chance of air pockets inside chamber. Need to figure out how to mount this UV so output is facing up. But for starters need to find a fitting that can mount to my return then to some flexible tubing. Went to Home Depot yesterday, spent an hr and left with nothing lol.

You will need to get the adapter fitting directly from the pump manufacturer. It looks like you have a Sicce sdc pump? If so it’s part number STR0029 and you can get it directly from sicce here https://us.sicce.com/en/products/multifunction-pumps/syncra-sdc.html
It comes with the adapters to either use barb fittings for soft line plumbing or slip fitting for hard piping. The easiest route would to just use the barb fittings and use silicon tubing. I have used this in the past and works well https://a.co/d/h2rZ351

thank you Chris. I have sent Sicce an email to order that fitting. Is there a direct shop link I can access to order spare parts? Or would it require to order through it g customer support?

There is a shop link. Scroll down the page to accessories.

Is that a euro mm fitting on pump? if is metric fw will have on hand and silicon tubing on amazon maybe a few plastic clamps and should be all set when cant mount perfectly gotta do what you can personally I wouldn't dump and pull from so close. Just let pump run a few min and should be fine.

couple questions: what size UV and what kind of turnover are you planning on running. I would recommend using 3/4” tubing. I use black this way if you have lighting in your sump no algae will grow. sucks you are in worcester as I have all kinds of parts from the last 12 years :) plus like 3 addition buckets of stuff.

Damnnnn nice. I’m going to get the barb fitting that comes with the pump over the next few days. Then I can run 3/4” line from barb to barb. 55watt looking to run low. Maybe 2-3x tank size for Dino’s

Make sure you put some kind of lalve so you will have some easy flow adjustment

One thing I did want to do was to try and find an elbow fitting for output so that I can have it coming out of the top. Hopefully can figure that out somehow

what size thread to thread into UV

Looking at the first picture in the post, it appears you have a choice of hose diameters you can attach to stepped barb fitting. I'd recommend using the smallest diameter of that stepped fitting and connect with silicone tubing. You don't want super high flow through the UV.
