Anyone using Corallife salt?

Triggerfish

been using this for the past 4 months ( i love those blenny t-shirts).
decided to check the Ca level of a recently mixed up 30g container. sg was around 1.025.
the Ca measured around 480ppm using the salifert full test. there was no cloudiness in the barrel..mixed up very clear.

i have also noticed that my Ca levels in tank have been elevated close to 500 i think about the same time i switched from IO to this salt.
maybe the kit has gone bad.

Probably not the kit. IO is on the low side for calcium...around 360 I think.

The problem with Coralife salt used to be the very high lithium levels. I don't know if they have corrected this. Used to be that people would find that sea stars (or related Echinodermata) would die almost instantly in tanks that were using the salt.

I cannot find the original aquarium-type on-line article anymore, but this PDF version of a similar report shows some of their data. I'm not able to determine the date of this article:

In any case, as I mentioned Coralife MAY have fixed the problem.
