Are my Hermit crabs cutting down Kenya Tree??

Hi everyone! Happy Holidays first of all. Next, I'm wondering if any of you have ever seen a hermit crab cut down a kenya tree. All puns aside, since I won my little kenya tree frag at the meeting, every morning I wake up, it's detached from the frag, and it looks like it was snipped at the base. I reglue it every morning and it stays there all day.......until I wake up the next morning. Anyone else ever have this happen? keep in mind, it's a very small frag with the stalk at the widest being only slightly wider than the lead of a pencil. Any idea and opinions are welcome. Thanks and Happy Holidays!!!

The issue is you can't glue soft leather corals like Kenya Tree :) Their "stalks" expand too much after you touch them for glue to do anything. Easiest thing to do is place it in the rockwork where you want it, but you need to basically squish it in there so it will attach to the rockwork. Otherwise, you can place it in a container of rock rubble and wait for it to attach itself onto a piece and move it from there.

Be aware, if not kept in check, it will take over your tank!

Use an elastic band and strap it to something small if you can. This keeps it in place until it attaches itself :) good luck !
