As Seen on TV - Has anyone tried this??

you can find the same type of thing at HD or lowes. but if you make up a good size WC and drain your tank some and you should have no prob moving it

I'd be scared to push anything as top-heavy as a full 75 gallon fish tank... I tried to move my 58 a few inches and chickened out :P But if you're going to do it, definitely drain as much as you can before you even lift the tank to put the sliders under.

Been there done that recently (only was a 57rimless though)

I got a new sump and had to move my tank out from a corner so I could access the side door as it would not come out the front and of course the side door was the one against the wall.

I had gotten 2 Rubbermaid trashcans that were 30 gallons each both with a small power head and a heater set to the same temp. One of them I made a batch of new salt water the night before and made sure the salinity and temp were the same as my tank. The other I left empty. I took all but about 4 inches of water out and put all my corals on the sand bed. I was lucky / un-lucky enough to not to have to worry about any huge colonies that I could not move.

Put all the water I pulled out into the empty bin and then moved the tank away and did what I needed to. Moved it back into position and filled it with 3/4 of new water back in and used the old tank water for the remaining 1/4. I was about 2 weeks away from a water change so I wanted to reuse some of my old water.

Good Luck with your move
Bruce

I have done that a few times with stands that I made or a stand of solid construction. +1 what Bruce did.
If you push just remember to push for down low, like close to the floor using the corners(usually where the strength is).Get a helper... way easier and much less risk of anything going wrong, 2 minds 4 hands etc.

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!! You will spit a seam or crack the tank. Drain tank, move, refill.

"DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!! You will spit a seam or crack the tank." I agree
72 gallons x 8.35 pounds per gallon = 601.2 pounds of moving water.
It can spit a seam or crack the tank.
