ATI PowerCone 160 Protein Skimmer or Super Reef Octopus 1000

I am thinking about setting up a 45gal tank with a sump. Not sure the size of the sump yet but am sure it will be about 15-20 gallons maybe a little bigger if I can fit it in the stand. I am pretty sure the Super reef octopus 5000 I have will be too big for this set up so I am looking at new skimmers. I loved the super reef octopus 5000 so I am looking at the 1000 and I saw the Powercone while browsing and it looked promising, I was just wondering what people thought. If there is another skimmer you would suggest for under $400 I am open for other suggestions. I know before the final choice I will need to know what size skimmer I will be able fit in my sump, I also can’t find the dimensions of the ATI PowerCone 160.

Total volume.

Personally, I'm thinking that this sounds like comparing a ford to a ferrari :)
Do you know when the ATI will be available?

I'd like to see some specs and pics for the 160 too. I googled around a little, but all I found was info and pics of the 250.

either would be a LOT of skimmer for 75g of water volume....but there'll always be room for the inevitable upgrade :)

Got a call back from premium aquatics, the do not know the footprint. The skimmer was going to be released this month but the date was canceled due to the American version of the skimmer not working like ATI wanted. They said it had to do with the volt change, so Premium aquatics does not know when it will be out.

I have the Octopus Spacesaver XP1000-SSS on my 60 cube. It works great! It uses the same pump.
