Barnacle on Coco Worm, Crazy?

Hey Guys,

I picked up a coco worm and it has a live barnacle on it.. Did a quick search and didn't find anything about this. Is this something I want in my tank? opening is probably 3/8" diameter.

Any ideas?

If it is a barnacle you have no worries it wont survive long term anyhow.Shame too...as I think they are cool to watch.

Had never heard of barnacles in reef tanks, or as hitch hikers for that matter. They had this coco worm at teh shop for at least a week. How long should I expect it to live. Will there be any problems when/if it dies.

Never hear of them because of their short survival in captivity.They require fine foods(almost constantly) that in a reef tank would be to much on the tanks bio load.It could live for weeks/months (doubt months).When it gone you wont have to worry,to small to matter....... Sure its a barnicle?
