A few weeks back my Bangaii Cardnals did the mouth brooding thing. Was hoping to get a glimpse of the fry before they became reef food but no such luck. However today while doing a bit of tank maintenance, I see something move in my left overflow. A closer look revealed two 3/16" long Bangaii fry. I guess I am amazed because they look so healthy and have grown so much. They must be eating tiny bits of flake, frozen and reef chilie that I put in the tank. I have not been feeding any artemia. I think I will leave them in there until they get a bit bigger and stand a chance in the main tank. Will make a point to get more food into that area though.
What a pleasant surprise!
