I just received my order of three fish from blue zoo. First fed ex just left it on front step in the bright sun luckily I was watching for it. I opened the bags there were not heating packs with the fish. The water was stone cold the fish barely moving. I was told that heating pack would be included I will update
 
wow, that is not cool. i usually have great service with BZA. please keep us updated. send BZA an email letting them know about any problems you have.
 
Spoke to martin at blue zoo was extremely rude when i tried to explain the situation to him and tried to explain the situation he said can I talk now said it is fine that the temp was under 65 that they do not pack with heating packs even though I was told that they would. they choos to place heating pack depending on what the temp is where it is coming from even if it is 9o degrees there in cal. and 20 degrees here in mass. he completely blew off the fact that the water felt like ice water,, he also told me that his website does not say to float bags when you receive them which clearly in their acclimation guide says to do this. I have never spoken to such an a**hole that is supposed to be the owner of the company If I could have I would have like to reach my hands through the phone and smacked the s****t out of him

They id. I was only telling them because I thought that someone forgot to put in the hot packs I was not asking them for anything I usuallydon't vent like that but this guy was so out of line. When I stuck my hand in the bags the trigger was cold and laying at the bottom of the bag. I was told that the packing would be alot better than it was . I still would have ordered from them again but this guy really ticked me off
 
he said even if it was freezing they do not always pack with heaters poor fish :( They are pets not equiptment etc... But they seem to be doing fine we will see how they fare the next few days.
 
Blue zoo qautics contacted me today and apologized for Martin's behavior. As it turns out he lied about being the owner of the company which is why I said I would never shop there again now that i know he is not the owner I would purchase from them again I would just discuss the packaging before they shipped
 
I've also had terrible experiences (yes plural) with Bluezoo. Essentially, they screwed up every order I placed with them. The first time I ordered from them they sent the wrong type (morph) of mushrooms, since the rock arrived with some extra, cool corals I didn't make a stink about it. For my second order, instead of Elysiad sea slugs they sent Dorrid Nudibranches. Finally, I tried to order two female pipefish from them, but they sent two males instead (also shipped midwinter without icepacks). I also spoke with Martin who I found to be completely unprofessional; for their sake, I hope he's been fired. Regardless, I won't ever order from them again.
 
I do have to say i received an order a few days ago that was much better. The anthias were very healthy and active right out of the bag.
