bubble counter fluid

ive seen the buble counter fluid for sale online, I guess its supposed to be thick so its easyer to count the bubbles.

what can I use to mimic this fluid, vegi oil? corn syrup?

You can use mineral oil, or glycerin both can be found at the grocery store.

I tried mineral oil, and although it seemed better than water it made a mess and at times would get water mixed in with it.

Tank water works fine in my counter, not sure why you would want to use a special liquid.

Water evaporates over time.

I may add a little water to mine once or twice a year at the most, being basically a closed system evaporation is not much of a problem.

+1 on the tank water. Never had much of an issue with evaporation due to the system basically being closed for the most part. Add a little a couple times a year like Jim said and never a problem with counting either.

I use olive oil. Works great.

I use RO figuring tank water would get rancid in that little space.

I have to refill mine every 8 weeks or so
