Unique question:
I've just finished drilling out 2 bulkheads (huuge props to Bec for her dremel, I'll get it back to you asap!) from my megaflow. The reason? I was redoing some plumbing and cleaning my overflow, and the bulkheads loosened an impercetible amount, but began to leak. I was unable to loosen OR tighten them (in a tight spot). I was forced after all sorts of jiggerypockery to drill the GD things out.
So now, I'm trying to decide what I want to do, to prevent this from happening again. I suppose I could glue them in place, and silicone them in, but any problem down the line would require more effort than these things did. I was thinking maybe I would just find some FDA food safe grease (i have this product available to me) and try to lubricate the threads of the bulkhead?
Any thoughts? I wish there was a better quality bulkhead , that wasn't sch 80.
