Buying Live Rock Online?

I need to buy some live rock and dont want to pay some inflated fish store prices.

Has anyone ever bought live rock online and from where?

any sugestions?

im looking for precure of fully cured.

I would suggest 2 avenues....

Buy it from a member - there is some for sale nearly always in the For Sale forums, in one form or another

Buy it from Marco rocks and cure it yourself. It is really terrific rock.

otherwise, you are going to be stuck with the inevitable high cost of LR

You're still going to pay a lot for good live rock from online sources because it costs a ton to ship. I ordered from Tampa Bay Salt Water when I first started. If I were to do it again, I would go with Marco Rock and a few pieces of live rock from a local store.

When I first started a few years back I order my original LR from Live Aquaria. I got 90 pounds of LR shipped to me for $300. That's about $3.33 a pound.

Not that bad really. But the downside was that the rock was completely uncured and took six to eight weeks of curing and testing before it was ready.

I still have all of that original rock to this day. It's purple as all heck.

I bought 40lbs from Live Aquaria just 2 weeks ago, its large pieces & really no rubble at all in the box. I was kinda hoping for a few pieces of rubble for my new refugium. With shipping I paid right around $3.33 also per pound.
