Calcium Monitors - Anyone used one?

I'm wondering if they are accurate, or a complete waste of money.

Anyone who has one, or has used one, please chime in.

Why did you hate it? Hard to use? Innacurate?

They just seemed like a pain and had to be calibrated frequently. and of course expensive. Luckily I was able to return it

I think the last post sums it up nicely. Randy got 2 of them, FOR FREE, and he still uses the titration test....'nuff said.

Too bad.....

I'd actually be much more interested in a device that would take samples and run alkalinity tests 1 to 2X/day. I keep trying to convince my 12 year old to do it and get paid, but there's still not enough stuff she wants to buy to have enough incentive.

No kidding. I would be MUCH more interested in alkalinity monitoring, but from what I hear, that won't be coming anytime soon due to the nature of the testing.
