calcium reactor help

I am having some issues with my maxijet that's powering my calcium reactor. I just cleaned the impellor a few weeks ago (it got jammed up and stopped feeding the reactor). Then not even 2 weeks go by, and it got jammed up again. I don't have fast enough flow in my drain line to have it feed the reactor. Is there anything else I can do?

This every couple weeks thing is the pits.

I feed mine from a line tee'd off from my skimmer pump (Mag-5) works like a charm.

imo, t'ing off the return line is the better option. that way if your return pump fails, the reactor will stop being fed as well so you wont overload your sump, or wherever you effluent is pouring into.

I originally tee'd off my my return pump but the pressure was so high (Gen-x 40) it was causing leaks in my reactor. With my 75 I ran it off the return pump (Mag-7) that also worked great.

Nicky not a lot to see but the white tee at the base of the picture shows a tube connecting to the skimmer, the top of the tee shows a grey valve the line exiting that is the reactor feed. I just added the valve so I could turn off the reactor while the skimmer was running. Any questions please ask.

Jim

PS your Mag-5 should work fine.

that pic helps - thanks Jim. Johnny - don't worry about it. Thanks for the offer though.

I'll have to head over to Home Depot and see if they have the pieces I need (unless they have that type in the irrigation section, I don't think they have it - all I really recall seeing is the regular white pvc with larger connections, not to accommodate tubing).

Jim - where did you find the pieces you used?

You should find everything you need in the plumbing section, show the sales guy what your trying to do, they are usually helpful.

Jim,

Labelling all the lines like that is an excellent idea. That reminds me, I gotta get around to doing that on my A/V system. Thanks.
