thanks in advance guys

A giant flat worm, kill it

Yup, polycad flatworm. They eat snails. Evil and no known predetors. Kill it and start looking for more, they are usually nocturnal so start doing flashlight checks at night. If you can spot them, they are fairly easy to suck up with a turkey baster if you move quickly.

+1 What they said.

They can get pretty darn big, and stretch into all sorts of different shapes. I've seen them up to about 3" long depending on how they have stretched themselves.

Pics of some I caught yrs ago in my old system;

Uh oh! I've had one for a couple of months but I've only ever seen him in the substrate against the glass! But it's that one's twin for sure! Luckily he was against the glass now so I hit him with a high power laser and he can feed the substrate critters now.

can you provide more details of what is a "high power laser ". The best I have at home are the "laser pointers" to give lectures or teach or....etc. can those pointer lasers kill something like this worm ?

Thanks

The lasers are great. I use one to kill aptasia. Takes about 10 seconds to burn one off a rock. They are expensive but very effective!

When moving a friends tank about 8 years ago we found one that would cover your hand. Never knew it was in there. Thing was creepy.

This is starting to kill me.....Are we talking of star wars .....LOL

Can someone provide more details of those lasers

What you want to know bud? They are extremely dangerous but work excellent. there is a few brands out there. heres a link to a video. There are plenty of laser brands out there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cbk7mA5PuAQ

Google Aiptasia Laser. Plenty of results with lots of info :)

Thank you....will do it !!!

First time in life I heard about this and I want to learn. I never imaging that I can do a search like this one. I never ever though or read that lasers have been used in reef keeping.

Thanks again for the answers !!!
