Are they too old? They are not currently laying eggs. Thanks

should be ok, I have a friend with an 18 year old ocellaris pair and the female only has one ovary and she still lays eggs every 2 weeks

both my pairs of percs lay eggs every few weeks and they are 7 and 10 years old. one pair layed eggs for years then i changed tanks and they stopped and re started about 2 months ago....the other pair didnt lay eggs up until last year....kinds strange but now its been going on with both pairs like clockwork.

Thanks for the information.

Hows this for a fresh update;

I've had my true percs for right around 10 yrs now. For several yrs they were laying clutches of eggs in my old 120 like clockwork, every other saturday IIRC. I moved them to my newer, smaller display @ 2-3 yrs ago and they haven't layed eggs since.... Until right now as I type. I noticed big mamma looking like she was cleaning a spot a couple of hours ago, took the dog for a walk and came home to a nice fuzzy orange carpet on the rocks with mamma steadily laying down more as little daddy tends to the rest.
