carbon and GFO recommended flow rates and media?

I just got two BRS gfo and carbon reactors. I got two under the impression that they require two separate flow rates yet I haven't been able to figure out what flow rates are recommended. I know the GFO needs to tumble but what GPH would do that? Is there a desired flow for Carbon?

i just got the brs gfo and carbon reactor too. but i only use it for carbon for now. i purchased a maxi jet 1200 because that's what they recommended to use as a pump for the reactor. also you didn't have to buy 2 reactors. you only need one reactor for carbon and gfo. you can put half carbon and half gfo in the reactor. i don't believe the carbon has to tumble. there is a video on brs that shows you how to get set-up the reactor

yea I watched the video but it only says "connect to your maxi jet pump". It doesnt specify a recommended GPH. I've heard a few people say that the MJ1200 will tumble the GFO but what about the carbon? Would a slower flow rate be preferred for carbon or is this yet another thing that can't be recommended due to individual tank needs?

I could also use a recommendation of media for carbon, GFO and calcium reactor.

Now that you guys have had your BRS Carbon and GFO Reactors for awhile. How do you like them? Do you notice a difference in your tank? I was thinking about getting the same setup. So I thought I would try and get some honest local reviews.

anyone got the link to that video?

I setup a phosban reactor with just a small amount of GFO about a week ago, and my p04 dropped from .6 to virtually undetectable levels. I was testing with redsea test kits too, they are pretty reputable test kits. I like it, but im going to start vodka dosing soon to deal with a nitrate problem so im just going to do away with the phosban while im at it, seeing as how the vodka lowers n03 and p04 it wont be necessary anymore. I have the flow adjusted so the GFO just does a light tumble, i dont see any debri coming from it so its working fine for me.

i have a mag 5 running my carbon and gfo dual reactors...its an over kill i want to downgrade to a mag3........imo i think a maxijet 1200 will not do the performance u want on a dual reactor....i had to put a valve to slow the mag 5 down......just so i can have that wave movement...
a maxijet doesnt do that...
