Carbon (kolar labs/Calgon) from saltwateraquarium

Any one uses this? I usually run the fluval one from PetSmart and it has been working for me.

This seems to be much more economical in the long run with a 5g bucket but want to see if anyone tried this before I get a big tub of it.

This seems to be a spec sheet from Calgon, the actual manufacturer, looks like it is carbon from bituminous coal used for liquid processing. Safer than lignite?

I bought a bucket and started using it. It does it's job and prob the cheapest carbon on the market that isn't lignite. But man this is INCREDIBLY dusty, working with that bucket is like I am shoveling in a coal mine. I need to wear a mask to work with it. Also take a lot of rinsing because of the dust.

Figured I'll leave a review. Cheap and works well yes, but requires quite bit of processing and make sure to wear PPE. My lungs itch and I blow black mucus when I don't.
