Yes coraline was absolutely decimating my alk I have bear bottom so it blankets the bottom and back glass and tries to cover the rest lol but as soon as I scraped back panel my alk consumption dropped a lot thankfully. And to think I couldnt wait until it started growing now I cant stop it haha

Will scraping it causing ALK to spike to the point that the fluctuation harmful to coral? I cant see Coraline consume more than 1dkh per day.

Depends on how big of a tank and how much your scraping off. I wouldn’t advise scraping more than half of what you want at a time.
