So I know awhile back I said I wanted to build a mesh lid for my 40g rimless.
Well I plan to get a midas blenny which I know are jumpers sometimes so I was thinking to build this lid for real.
I had said awhile back I wanted to use acrylic rod and make a rectangle with mesh wrapped to it, but i'm not entirely sure how perfect of 90 degree angles that'd achieve.
Are there any solutions where the bracket or whatever you wanna call it around the edge of the mesh is clear instead of black?
Or anyone have any other general idea on how to make a clear, most minimalist looking mesh cover? I hate that chunky black ones and don't wanna ruin the rimless beauty.
EDIT: I see they sell square acrylic rods in 3/8" which is the width of my tank glass and sell them in 3 foot long pieces which is the length of my tank. Hmm...
I guess I COULD build a sturdy rectangle out of acrylic after all. Now it's just a matter of how i'd attach the mesh to the rod...
Worst case scenario I suppose I could go with a white window screen frame... But i'd still prefer clear.
I know there's zero market for a clear window screen frame thus the lack of it's existence. Lol.
