co2 reactor setup.

Ok, I have my co2 reactor and the pump comming in today. Does anyone have any advice on how to set it up, what pressures I should have, and any other co2 setup instructions or tips will be helpful.

What brand did you get? Do you have your media and a pump if not included. Do you have enough test kits to get it dialed in?

Most come with pretty good instructions, but you need to take your time and make sure that all of the tubing connections are tight but you do not over-do the plexiglass connections. Start it slow and do alot of testing until you get the feel of the unit.

where did you get the co2 tank from? I am trying to find one at a reasonable cost locally

tank from arco in malden...

115 for 15lbs filled.

ok reactor is running, right now im only putting in 1 bubble of c02 every 10 secs and the out put back into the tank is 1 drop per second, i think thats very slow so I dont over do it since i dont have a clue what it needs to be. and cant get a manual for it.

10sec per bubble is way too little.
tune it up to 3sec/bubble!

i know, im trying to run it very very slow right now and turn it up gradually cause I dont want to mess anything up... anyone else agree to goto 3 bubble per sec into the chamber.

yes because there wont be enough co2 in the reactor to lower the ph enough to disolve the media so you are basicly just running water through it and you might as well shut the co2 off and not waste it

your output PH should be around 6.2-6.7 I beleive

and of course, depends on what kind of media you're using as well.
