Mini4x do you have a link to this item I have not heard of this type of sponge and would be intrested to get a look is it anything like a coco worm.

Nope was at LFS..

flat looking sponge, maybe 1/2" thick, and 2-3" on a side, of course who knows what it really may be.

Looked sort of like one of those shelf looking mushrooms that grow on old rotten logs. But was standing upright..
