Complete Disaster!

This is sad. So sorry to read this. It happened to me last year on my 10 AIO where my heater exploded (?) and cooked my tank to 105 degrees. Lost everything which was sad bc I had 50 different types of exotic zoas and this awesome flame chalice that i grew from a quarter size.

I rebuilt and over time it will return to its former glory (or even better). Just be patient and hopeful. Happy Holiday and best wishes.
Sorry that happened to you! I feel your pain. sh!*** situation but, like you, I will prevail!

My condolences to you on your losses. Unfortunately that trial an error has occurred to me as well and many others that happen to all of us abs like you say we continue to strive and make better of the worst.
You will bounce back better than ever and will be good to go. Patience goes a long way and I’ve learned that the hard way as well chief. Wish you well and if you need some help please advise. That’s what this is all about.
Happy reefing.
I appreciate the kind words Rican! In time, I'll be back better than ever!

I'm so sorry to hear this man. I got myself two thermostats, one inkbird and one digital thermometer as a failsafe. This was an unfortunate accident, hope you come out of this stronger.

That's the plan! I usually have my apex setup but, this was just a holding tank until the new build was plumbed and wet. Never again!

This is a gut punch. Ive had this happen to me and my entire tank melted at 103 when the heater exploded during the night. Take it slow and use this as a chance to revamp the tank.

I have since set the controller to turn off after the tank reaches 84.

I assume the temp probe is attached to the controller and he said it got knocked out of the water.
Ooooooooo. I have mine in cages that are magnetic to back of tank. Get very nervous still. I wound them around back of gyre. Oh man. This hobby has big crap moments. So sorry.

I have one, just wasn't installed on this tank because it was a short term tank. Dumb mistake!
Isn't it always the way , then you get mad at yourself, we all have done it in one way shape or form trust me . I guess just part of the hobby lol.

Keep us informed of how you recover from this
