Connecting two DC8's

Leroy

Pres. NE Matchcover Club
Has anyone had any success hooking up 2 Direct Connect 8's together, changing the dip switches on S1 and S2 then adding the second DC8 to be configured A9 to A16? Also are there any other symbols I can use in the software since $ # % & are used to designate to outlets A9 thru A16?

Correction: B9 thru B16

i thought that with the DC8's you needed to buy a whole separate controller.. .but i might be wrong.

No, you can hook them together and the second one would continue from B9 to B16. It's a matter of changing the dip switches. I'm using a laptop to configure the software then upload it to the controller.

I run a DC4, and 2 DC8s. Just flip the right dip switches and its a piece of cake. I also bought longer telephone cords at Job Lot for 50 cents.

Its not that bad. Connect them together and set the switches to a different letter number combination for the outlets. I am using a DC8 and DC4 like that.

i run two, it can be tricky but can be done.. if you want to call me LMK
I just may do that cause I'm running into a situation where I configure the dip switches, include the B9 into my software AquaNotes with a time on and time off, upload it, wait for the light to come on and nothing. I see it's communicating cause the green light under the DC8 is blinking as it sentds the command to the Aqua Controller. I'm going to keep at it till I've run out of options.

I think it's B1-B8. I use the Lunar Sim and have to set the dip switches to the "B" channel.

You could set B9-B16 but it would be a different dip switch config.

I just got my ACIII on my wireless network today. Great controllers.
