Controlling Tunze 6025

I ordered a Tunze 6025 for my Oceanic 30 gallon cube. Going to ditch the Seio 620(aka Rio). The Seio is rated at 620 and the Tunze at 660. Are these numbers actual. I'm afriad I may get to much flow from the Tunze but I'm going to try it. I've got the Seio cut back about 30% for my frogspawn and hammer. I am happy about the magnet mount so I can put it about 8" below the surface and point it up slightly, about 10%, pointing towards the front away from the side with a LPS's. How about making a ghetto controller in a double outlet box with a light dimmer and an outlet? The Tunze only draws 8 watts so it would be eletrically safe. Any comments?

the 6025 nanostream is not supported for a wavemaker. Mine clicks a bit on a restart....don't know how it would hold up. What I think you will find is that the flow is dispersed with the nanostream, and it will be fine in your tank.

I'd spin it up in the tank before I went to nutso trying to slow it down...

I was not going to hook it to a wavemaker. I was going to hook it to a household dimmer and slow it down 24/7. I am going to try it first, as is, but I'm leaving all options open. I love the mounting options the magnet mount gives me.

I have 2 in a 40 breeder. For the most part they are pointing more toward the surface and although it is not creating a sand storm it has rearranged the substrate on the bottom of the tank a bit so that it is not evenly disbursed as it was previously. Only minor though.

nano 6025

let me know how it works on the home controller.
I thought of that also.
Mine is only a few weeks old and it didn't restart once or twice for me already.
It's not on a wavemaker,just when I cleaned it.
I like that I can move it around all the time but It falls off the magnet sometime if I move it too much.
I had the sieo 820 and it did flow more than this 6025.
however the 6025 definately spreads the pattern wider outwards and when drawing in.
It make more volume of water move compared to the sieo.
