What would cause the coraline to start turning black ?

Have you dosed anything to kill algae? I accidentally did that and my coralline lost all its color and dinos (which never died) started growing over.

Microbacter Clean. I don’t have definitive proof, but it makes sense

I washed the filter socks with bleach, but I didn't use them for a week
Maybe that was the issue

I've used bleach with filter socks. No issue like that
