Couple quick starting up questions

My tank has been running 3 weeks with live sand. Today I am putting in 60-70 lbs live rock.

When should I turn on the protien skimmer ?

When should I turn the lights on ?

I would start the skimmer and the lights once the LR is in. The rocks should have organisms on it that will need light and the skimmer will help with any die off from the rocks.

I agree.
There's no reason to not get everything started and the light cycle operating.

i wouldnt go all out with light cycle since all u need to cycle rock is a heater, powehead and a skimmer. once any mini cycles pass go for it
