CPR Dual Bak Pak Skimmer

Im having trouble eliminating micro bubbles from entering my display tank. I installed the skimmer 2 weeks ago and i have done everything i could think of to try and fix the problem. I tried aimed the return towards the surface, packed the bio bale tighter, loosened the bio bale, and placing a sponge in front of the outflow. The sponge works but im afraid of an overflow while im not home since it raises the water level. If i adjust the valve so there are no more bubbles i get no foam in the skimmer. If i get foam then i have the bubbles. Has anyone had any luck with these?

i put the foam prefilter from one of my old pumps down inside my back pak ... works great

I will try that tomorrow then because im out of ideas. I definately appreciate the help.
