came home yesterday to a wet basment floor. i found a crack in my rubbermaid stock tank. i marked the beginning and end to see if it increases. but what would you recommend to repair this, silocon, epoxy, fiberglass? it is about an inch long running horizontal. i will try to get a pic

Wow,
Why would a stock tank crack? They're built really rugged.
I'm not sure how you'd repair something like that with it being toxic to the critters in the tank.

they're cheap enough...change it.

if you need one to borrow, I have a spare I bought as a plan for my move, LMK

Jay thanks for the offer. I am going to upgrade from the 70 to the 100 so I have more room. Right now I have the water level below the crack so I am safe for now and it does not appear to be growing.

Need more room in the sump

Ouch, to hear..Do you know how or why it may have cracked? Was it new/used? I figured those things to be basically bullet-proof.

thanks thats a cool video. Its really not an emergency, there is just rock, sand and water so far in the tank.. The stock tank was new, I am not sure if the crack was there to begin with our not. I am trying to find a 100 gal to replace it to give me more room for the skimmer container and more rock in the sump.
