Difference between the Iwaki American and Japanese Made Pumps

Is there a difference between the performance of the American made and Japanese made pumps. I noticed that the Japanes pumps cost more money for what appears to be the same specs.

Not sure there is any difference in performance.....but I believe that the Japanese pumps are built slightly better and will last longer.

From what I've read / heard the imported motors last longer and are a good bit quieter. no personal exp with them, only the amer motors.

Asian made are more energy saving in the iwaki brand

I have an IWAKI American. Seems to work good so far. But then again I dont have a voltmeter, and my pump is downcellar so I dont hear it.
