Do you rinse your cal. media

The Arm media says not to rinse but I did it anyways and I got lots of sticks and a lot of cloudy water. Anybody not rinse out the calcium media.

I normally just do water change through the reactor. Open the effluent all the way and run a good 10 or 15 gallons through until it runs clear, kill 2 birds with one stone:)
 
if you soak the media in ro/di for several days and change out the water daily you can alieviate alot of the phosphate that would be released later from the media.
 
Also, if you ever let the PH go too low and the reactor goes clowdy, IMO/IME it's a good idea to give it a good rinse out.
