Dried Spray Paint Reef Safe?

If I spray a piece of PVC and let it dry, will it leach into the tank and cause problems? I've got a white PVC connector that sticks out like a sore thumb against a black background...

thanks!

i am not a paint expert how ever i did work for sherwin williams for 2 years.....most interior and exterior house paints either latex or oil base contain mildecides and insectiside(expectially exterior house paints). also althought a can say suggests a to touch time or a handling time the paint can takes days to months to completly cure.... so i would say yes you may have leach of undesiable chemicals

Thanks, I kind of figured that it wouldn't be a great idea...my only option to try to find a black PVC junction of some sort?

home depot lowes any place like that.

just don't spray anywhere near the tank and let it cure before throwing it in there.

You're not gong to believe this, but I just checked the spray can I had picked up to spray the side of the tank--it's Krylon Fusion! haha.. Perfect. Thanks again... Tank's still empty, but I did spray outside anyway. Wish life were always that easy!

after a few months the paint will wear off into the system. then showing the white pvc again.. waste of time and money.
