e-z corals die while tricky corals thrive

this has been going on for well over a year now in my system. i have been the hobby for a long time now. my water checks out fine time and time again. alk=11.5 ca=460 mag=1300-1500 sg=1.026 . while my hammer coral,elkhorn,nems,and toadstools all grow fine other corals such as button polyps and mushrooms remain closed.

Hows your flow? Ive had a problem with some shrooms getting to much flow and they wouldnt open till I moved them

If you have strong lighting try putting the problem corals in a shaded area. You could also try shortening your photo period. What's the pH?

I agree, I run mine around 8-9. Also if you don't dose daily alk swings cause stress.
