eheim 1262 very lound new impeller?

Just got back from a christmas trip to the folks. Well the lovely smell of low tide greated me at the door when we returned. Sump was dry, heater dead, low water in tank, the breaker for on the power strip for the sump electric blew at some point any way I think the impeller got messed up or the whole thing may be junk now on the eheim. It works but makes a nasty sound does ir just need a new impeller? Thanks

The impeller is the only moving part on Eheim pumps. 888-343-4662 they have great customer service.

Sounds like it needs cleaning.

Thanks i called eheim, thtey out till the 3rd. It's a loud nocking sound but when the pump is at an angle seems to be almost normal. I'll give it a cleaning and see if that helps.

I forgot to add... sounds like grain/s of sand or calk buildup caught in there...have had it happen to me b4.
