Eight Line Wrasse

I recently got a Hawaiian Eight Line Wrasse. I have now found out that it may possibly eat my shrimp or hermit crabs. I have him in a separate tank for now. Should I return him or is there a chance he wont bother the shrimp or crabs at all? I have had a longnose hawkfish for quite a while now and he has never bothered the shrimp.

I would bet that the longnose hawkfish will be the culprit when eating the shrimp. They like them as their regular diet and will usually do that at night.

I don't know much about the eight line wrasse, but some of them can be aggressive. You'll have to get that info from others.

Good luck in keeping your shrimp healthy.
