Update on the situation
The coralvue ballast worked fine no problem.
The reefbrite ballast is the problem. It uses a microprocessor that tries to adjust the current all the time and I believe the power bar is reading it as a bad thing. The light flickers when it’s on the ghl power bar until the power bar shuts down.

I know this is old, but this is an issue I’m currently experiencing with my new reef brite ballasts and Ghl power bars. The power bars shut down in a minute or less after the lamps fire. Did you ever find a workaround?
