emperor 400 for a refugium

i was wondering if it would be worth using my emp 400 as a refug?

i would take all the media out and bio wheels
put some live sand in it and some small pieces of live rock that i have
along with some macro

ideas ?

That's what I did for a while before I got a CPR HOB refugium. It works just fine.
