Empty CO2 bottle weight??

We were wondering if anyone knew the weight of an empty steel 5 lbs c02 bottle. We are replacing our calcium reactor and want to gauge how much co2 we have left. We just don't want to get the new one all dialed in and then the bottle runs empty shortly after. We haven't filled it since the end of January. Thank you

Our current reactor doesn't work anymore so I turned the co2 off so if worse comes to worse I can just take it down and have it filled up, but I'd rather not spend the money if I don't have to since they charge for a full bottle regardless of how much it takes

Where are you bringing it? The place I go (Arco) in Malden is $11. I think for that amout it would be worth it to know I wouldnt have to worry about it.

A place in Rochester, NH, I can't remember the name, but they charge almost $30 to fill it. Its the only place close by too.

I found the weight, 16 lbs empty. The bottle is at 17.5 lbs now with leaves us 1.5 lbs co2. It will probably get us until the end of the year but I better get it filled so I can get a full year out of it. I was hoping I only used half of it so I could get another 6 months out of it, lol

wow I go to this place called Airgas in Lakeville, Ma and they swap out the empty for a new full one and they use aluminum tanks. doesnt weigh more than a pound or two empty. Ive used the steal ones too they are heavyier but 16lbs sounds way heavy

wow 30 bucks to fill a 5 lbs tank. i have a 25 lbs tank and it only costs 30 to fill that down here in ri
