Energy Efficient Skimmer suggestions for 120 gallon

Britrover

Former BRS member getting back in the hobby after about 1 year and am looking for suggestions on an energy efficient serious internal skimmer for heavy bio load.

I had a Euro Reef in my last tank and found nothing wrong with it but heard last year that they were having quality and customer service issues. I hear complaints about Deltec now with regards to parts replacement and poor customer service.

I am just looking for something that is super quiet, energy efficient and works well. Sort of hoping for more than just a name brand, a specific model with mods you like etc. would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

An Octopus NW 200 with mesh mod and venturi mod should handle your tank. If you wanted you could get the recirc version (DNW200), or DNW250 which is like the DNW200 but with 2 pumps and a 10" body instead of 8".

bubblemaster 200,uses about 20 watts

i have a Octopus NW 150, love it, very quite and never have to touch it. at $183 shipped cant go wrong

I have the Bubble Master 200..... quiet and without question plug and play... runs around 5 bills.... but well worth it. (Just ask my wife) :D

Will the Bubblemaster 250 be an overkill for the 120 gallon. Trying to decide between the 200 or the 250

Liam has joined the ranks of some of the brilliant people who run their tanks on t-5 only :D

He has a thread in the photography section about his 90G build. pretty slick fixture he built.
