ETSS 600 Skimmer

yesterday i called AEtech and asked about my skimmer it just did not seem to be skimming consistent they asked how many bioballs are in it and i told them 23 or 24 whatever the recommended amout was and they told me to try using only 12 balls because they did have some models of the 600 that only needed 12 so i took out the balls and put 12 back in and wow what a difference full to the top with foam and going like crazy so if any one out there has a etss600 that seems to be acting a little strange this could be your problem and i am using a blueline 40 for a pump it is on the low end of the recommended pumps for this skimmer

in the directions that came with the skimmer it said change the output on the pump to one inch even though the input on the skimmer was 3/4 i never did because my pump was 3/4 and the skimmer was 3/4 also so today i changed the output on my pum to one inch and the intake on the skimmer to one inch and is now skimming even better than just changing the bioball count i could not believe the foam this thing is making now
