Click to expand... There are a lot of factors that would affect evaporation. I run a fan for cooling on a 30 gallon tank and evaporate about 3/4 of a gallon a day. My reef tank is 155 gallon and evaporates about a 1.25 gallons. How much are you losing?

this is me I like turtles BRS Member Sep 10, 2015 #3 The dimension of the tank matters too. If you have a lot of surface, it'll evaporate more. I lose about 1.5gallons a day on my 200gallons (63"x32") open top.

wpeterson Well-Known Member BRS Member Sep 10, 2015 #4 I evaporate about 1-2 gallons a day in our 90 gallon depending on the heat, humidity, and relative cooling fan operations.
