feeding acans

How and what and how often should i be feeding my acans?

You can feed them brine or mysis. The more you feed the faster they grow.

Mine will feed at any time of the day. As long as their open you can drop some food in. I feed mysis and hikari marine s.

They def grow super fast when you feed them 2-3 times a week

Or during the day before the lights go on or while the actinics are on...

I found that if you feed them a lot during the week their feeders are out 24/7...

I feed them Mysis shrimp-I use a turkey baster 1-2x's per week any time of day and they just gobble them up!!
I have even had 2 small colonies on the verge of death ( were in hubby's tank- neglected!!) and they came back with daily dose of love and attention
I also just drop in some cyclopeeze no real frequency-other than when the hubby has it in stock in the freezer.

I usually feed em once or twice a week. Mysis, cylopes, cut table shrimp, and sometimes cut up clam. Just depends what I take out of the freezer. They eat it all and are doing great.
