Finicky needle valve?

I am having a tough time adjusting the bubble count on my reactor. The gauges are reading 7 on the low pressure side and about 75 on the high side. The problem is when I adjust the needle valve to a particular bubble count within ten minutes it comes to a stop and I need to open the needle valve more to get it going again. Entire set up is only a few months old. Any suggestions?

I had exactly the same problem. Was hanging after an hour sometimes two, but after you have walked away and figured it was all set. If your low pressure side is adjustable, you might try raising that a little bit and seeing what happens. That didn't do the trick for me though, as soon as I swapped out the needle valve, it dialed right in and has stayed that way for good now. Don't waste too much time trying to get it to stay, I did and it wasn't worth it, just swap out the valve.

What regulator are you using? The cheaper regulators don't have very good needle valves and that is sometimes the problem with them.

Never really noticed before where I only ran it for a week or so before breaking down to upgrade. I was not sure if there might be an obstruction of some kind? I keep the tank in another room so there is not any corrosion from the salt.

Perhaps pull the needle valve out and see if there is anything in there obstructing the flow. Also, check for leaks in the co2 line going to the reactor....a small leak will allow it to lose pressure.
