Recently downsized from a 60 cube to a Innovative Marine Nuvo 16 nano tank. I have about 10lb of live rock, live sand, two clown fish, a yellow clown goby and various LPS corals. I want to add three more small fish to bring my total to six. I was looking at get a goby and pistol shrimp. Any other ideas what couple of other fish would get along with two clowns, yellow clown goby, wheelers goby and a pistol shrimp. I think I'll be at my limit at six fish with a 24"L x 13"H x 9"D 16 gallon tank.

Got a couple of Banggai cardinals, Hi Fin Red Banded Goby and a Tiger Pistol Shrimp. I now have six small nano fish and a pistol shrimp so I think I'm all full at the inn.

Banggai plus purple firefish or assessor or bicolor dotty back (but add it last as a bit of a bully)

I have yellow watchman and tiger pistol paired and they are great fun to watch.

Fish now:

  • 2 Ocellaris Clownfish
  • 3 Banggai Cardinalfish
  • Hi Fin Red Banded Goby w/Tiger Pistol Shrimp
  • Yellow Clown Goby

I think I'm at my limit for a 16 gallon nano tank, although a Firefish does sound nice.

I would get rid of the cardinals and get something much cooler...but that is me... :)

How about a Barnacle Blenny or a small fairy Wrasse like a McCosker's. If not I vote Firefish too...just make it a Helfrich's Firefish

The Banggai Cardinals were a special request of my wife, she loves them. It's the only request she made for the tank so I best leave them in the tank. I'll probably just add a firefish then I'm done except for MORE corals of course.
